Storming Manhattan with his debut collection at New York Fashion Week, designer Sander Lak is set to be this season's breakout star.

The Dutch Central Saint Martins' grad started his career with Phillip Lim, and later with Balmain and Dries Van Noten, before taking on the role of creative director of new American luxury women's ready-to-wear label Sies Marjan. Drawing in the most influential people in the industry including Anna Wintour, Cathy Horyn and Nicole Phelps, the young designer's show contained dresses with nude and citrus shades as well as loose-fitting tiered knits, a collection which is likely to drum up excitement among fashion lovers for future seasons to come.
